Launch of Waterside Lodge Sales celebrated with national bowls sponsorship

03 Jun 2011

Waterside Lodge Sales, a new division of the Waterside Holiday Group based in Weymouth, Dorset is to launch in early June. It will specialise in the sale of brand new luxury lodges located at the Group’s three established parks, Waterside, Chesil Vista and Osmington – all of which are situated in desirable locations on the south coast.

Ahead of its official launch, Waterside Lodge Sales has confirmed that it will sponsor three national bowling championship events organised by Bowls England, the National Governing Body for the sport of outdoor lawn bowls in England.  Waterside Lodge Sales has also pledged to make a donation to the charity Visually Impaired Bowls England (VIBE) with every lodge sold.

The three Bowls England events to be sponsored by Waterside Lodge Sales are the Women’s National Triples Championship, the Women’s National Under 25 Singles Championship and the Amy Rose Trophy, which is the Under 31 team championship. The finals of all these events are being held during the Women’s National Championships at Royal Leamington Spa that run from Saturday 30th July to Sunday 14th August inclusive.

Thousands of players from across the country are competing for these top titles in the sport of bowls, and Waterside Lodge Sales will be present at the national finals complete with a display lodge, supplied by Wessex Leisure Homes, which will be available to view.

This is the first national sponsorship deal that the new lodge sales division has committed to and it demonstrates the Group’s clear commitment to supporting the development of the sport throughout England.

Dan Steadman, newly-appointed Waterside Lodge Sales Manager, said: "We are delighted to be supporting Bowls England. Bowls is a popular sporting and leisure activity enjoyed by many of the thousands of guests who visit our holiday parks each year, so it is very relevant to us and our guests.  Through our sponsorship we are supporting the UK bowling community which has strong links with Dorset, as the region has long been a popular destination for bowls enthusiasts, with over 20 excellent clubs, regularly holding tournaments and competitions."

From June 2011 Waterside Lodges will be available to purchase at all three holiday parks. These holiday homes represent the highest quality design and finish, and as a Waterside Lodge owner there are many exclusive benefits including full membership of the nearby Moonfleet 2000 Indoor Bowls Club which has state of the art bowls facilities, family membership of the Weymouth & Portland National Sailing Academy, home to all of the sailing events during the 2012 Olympics, and discounted moorings at the nearby Portland Marina. Further benefits include social membership and discounted green fees at two of the area’s premier golf courses: Came Down Golf Club – the birthplace of the Ryder Cup, located between Weymouth and Dorchester, and the Dorset Golf Resort – Dorset’s premier multi-sport resort.
